How To Get There

Sapporo City boasts an impressive international airport, the New Chitose Airport, with more than 70 scheduled direct daily flights and an easy gateway to the Niseko region.

Japan Airlines, ANA, Skymark, Air Do, and Jetstar fly into New Chitose Airport From Tokyo, Osaka, and other major cities. Flights take around 90 minutes.

From outside of Japan, Cathay Pacific and Hong Kong Airlines fly direct from Hong Kong. China Air and Eva Air fly from Taipei, Korean Air from Seoul, Air China from Beijing, China Eastern from Shanghai, and Thai Airways from Bangkok—providing many choices for travellers.

Niseko is easily reached from Sapporo’s Chitose international airport by taxi, private bus or rental car in the summer season The scenic drive of around two-hours takes you through the Shikotsu-Toya National Park past Lake Shikotsuko—an expansive crater lake formed over 40,000 years from volcanic activity. You will also marvel over the lush agricultural landscapes, displaying far-reaching farmlands famous for potatoes and other vegetable produce as well as beef cattle and dairy farms. As you reach Niseko you will be in awe of the immense Mt Yotei.
